Contrary to JT's description, this VFRness is all-but plug and play. I think it took me 5 minutes to install from the time the body work was off and I found the starter relay to the time the battery terminals were tightened back down. Great product, well crafted and the inclusion of extras you just might need was a nice bonus! Also, the one I got was nicely wrapped up and heat shrinked rather than just wire-tied like the picture.

Bought vfrness +RR for my 1997 VFR. Delivery delayed as RR was back ordered but did come eventually (1 month later). The vfrness was easy enough to fit, it took me longer to get the bodywork off the bike than it did to fit the wiring. Perhaps not a good idea for mechanical novice to try to fit one of these, but if you have the mechanical smarts to get the bodywork off the bike and can wire a domestic 13A plug and can follow a recipe book, then you should be able to do this. Result for me was good. Charging voltage @3000 revs went from 12.3v to 14.6v. No more flat batteries or mysteriously cutting out in traffic. Well pleased!

Installed 2 years ago. Simple to install. No over-heating issues over the last 15,000 miles.

The VFRness is awesome! I have a very limited mechanical/electrical understanding and installing it was a breeze. It came quick (I received it within three days of ordering it) and with easy to understand instructions. My bike not only holds a charge but starts noticeably better.
